Protex EDS is Innovation 
The Protex EDS is the first Floating Electrical IT system to enable individual outlets to be protected and isolated without an earth path and RCD or GFCI. Uniquely, it allows for rapid detection and isolation at the first fault, without the need to isolate the entire circuits, install additional transformers or engage complex management systems.
The problem with the operation of IT and TT systems is their failure to detect a First Fault; it is not until the second fault occurs that faults can be detected; at this stage the level of injury and damage can be significantly enhanced.
The Protex EDS (Electrical Distribution System) simplifies electrical infrastructure, reduces components and control devices. reducing the cost of design, installation and electrical protection.

Protex is designed for Floating FT (IT) electrical distribution systems in:
- hospital operating theatres;
- computer server rooms;
- equipment used by emergency services personnel;
- mobile generators and inverters;
- industrial applications;
- surface mine operations;
- shipping industry
- defence equipment and operations.
The Protex technologies are currently being presented to standards and regulatory authorities around the world. Consequentially it is not yet commercially available in all markets with approval pending.
