Protex House utilizes an isolating transformer to create a floating IT environment.
In existing IT environments and national grid delivery systems the Protex iFS is a plug-in replacement for the RCD / GFCI. The Protex transformer is only required in TN or grounded local delivery systems.

How Protex EDS Works:
- isolation transformer: installed before switchboard filters away the earth
- switchgear: Protex iFS replaces all the RCD / GFCI's on each circuit
- cables: existing wiring is used in the house
- extra Protex iFS's can be installed at the power point level
